A handwritten note says that someone has gone to some trouble over it and that feels nice. We think it would be cool to revive the art of sending things via snail mail. It gives you the opportunity to make it personal. And it doesn’t need to be fancy. If your mate did something nice then write a quick thank you and shove it through their door. Often acts of thoughtfulness like this have greater impact than we could ever know.
So get your best handwriting out, get your hands on some free LoveCov postcards and get sending. Go and dig you felt tips out and do a doodle if you feel that way! (pick the postcards up from the Coventry Telegraph office on Corporation Street, or email us your name and address here)
Here’s some categories we think it would be good to start with.
Let’s get creative. These are some starters. The point is that it makes us think of people in our lives, and stop for a moment in our crowded lives to do something that brightens their day a little. Just think how it would make you feel.
And this is not just for people in Coventry Send these as far and wide as you like! But let it be known that people in Cov want to make time for the people in their lives and aren’t scared to stand out doing so.
We hope that you like what you read here, but we hope even more that you want to be a part of what we are doing. Every day people are signing up to be part of LoveCov and we want this to grow. The more people get involved the bigger an impact we can make across the city.
By signing up you will stay up to date with all of the LoveCov news. You will be connected to a growing number of people who really want to make an impact in people's lives. It will also help us know how many people are with us on the journey.
