Support street beats

Isn't real, live music just the best? We love music and we know that many others do to.

The problem is that being a musician is hard, and it's even harder when your very way of life depends on it. How many times have you listened to a great street musician, nodded along and then just walked off? We all have. Well why not join us as we push to support Coventry street musicians.

If you hear a musician when you are next in the city (or anywhere for that matter) and they have talent (not just playing a barely audible monotone on a tin whistle that's stuck between their lips) then why not make an effort to let them know that you appreciate the effort they are going to and stick your hand in your pocket. Here's a quick guide to what you can give:

No money

If you find yourself without any coinage then why not go and offer a friendly: "Sorry, mate I am skint at the moment but your playing is awesome". It's better than walking past.

Brown and silver money

Better than nothing and if it is all you have then it is worth 10 times it’s value. It says "I noticed your playing and want to support your talent".

Gold moey

This says "Have a great day" and will be very well recieved. This also says "I'm not just giving you my spare money" and shows that you thought about your donation.

Paper money

This says "I enjoyed your playing immensley" and will blow most street musicians away. Paper money rarely sees the inside of an open case. Why not change that?
